Time-Out with Terry: JUNE 2024
These are exciting times here at Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church. This month we are celebrating Homecoming! That is a time to give praise to God for all His blessings in the past and to look expectantly to the blessings in the future. I am convinced that our greatest days of ministry and effectiveness are in the coming days. Invite-Invite-Invite!
Pray much for our Vacation Bible School. Across our denomination VBS continues to be one of the most evangelistic weeks in the life of churches. Let’s be praying that many boys and girls come to faith in Christ during this week. It’s my favorite week of the year. We still need people to serve. Don’t miss out on it. Rest up and join us for a fun week.
Prayin’ and Praisin’ is starting on Wednesday night, June 26th at 6:30pm. Each Wednesday evening, we will have a time of giving praise to God for His continued goodness in our lives. Also, praying will be a big part of P&P. I will also be going through the book “The 21 Most Effective Prayers in the Bible” with you. This will be time well spent. Hope to see you on June 26th!
On Father’s Day we are going to recognize, honor and pray for the fathers in our church. They have a great responsibility to lead their families to follow Jesus. We, also will have a gift for every father in attendance.
A Summer of Promise is what I am calling my sermon series for the next couple of months. From June 23rd-August 25th we will be studying some of the precious promises of God. In times of chaos and heartbreak it is comforting and encouraging to lean into the One who never breaks His promises.
