Time-Out with Terry: November 3, 2024
“Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!” Psalms 103:1-5
I believe I can speak for all of us when I say we have much——I mean a whole lot——to be thankful for in our life. I’m sure you know that I’m a Christmas fanatic, but in reality, I just love this entire time of year. I hope you will be intentional about spending some quality time with the Lord in order to give praise and thanksgiving for His continual blessings in our lives.
My two favorite worship services of the year occur in November and December. In November we are having a Thanksgiving Dinner and Praise Service. Sunday evening, November 24 at 5:00 we will be gathering to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal with our church family. Following our meal, we will all go into the sanctuary and spend time giving praise to God for His blessings over this last year. Then on the evening of December 22 we are having a Candlelight Lord’s Supper Service. The choir will be sharing a special Christmas Cantata, which will conclude with the Lord’s Supper. After this service we will have a church Christmas Fellowship. Mark your calendar now! These services are not to be missed. I promise you they will be one of the highlights of your Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays.
I also want to thank you for inviting so many of your friends for our Friend Day. It was wonderful to see the sanctuary filled with people worshipping the Lord. Continue to invite people to Ruffin Stacy Baptist Church. God is doing a marvelous work in the lives of many. I am thankful to be a part of such a wonderful church and think everyone should come and experience what God is doing in our midst.
