June Article

I know that many of us are excited to see the beginning of summer and the activities that will follow over the coming months.  I too am excited to plan out some vacations and enjoy the warm weather with my family.  One of the things that I am also excited about is the opportunity to participate in some ministry activities that we as a church were not able to do last year.  I’m thinking of Vacation Bible School the week of June 21-25.  I’m thinking of Homecoming at Ruffin Stacey June 27th.  There are even some opportunities for new ministries this year through Lot 2540 and the Mobile Market at Lincoln Elementary School.  All of these things remind me that, even with our thoughts still on the pandemic, God is good, and He is good all the time.

I want to encourage you that as we see life getting back to normal this summer you would prayerfully consider how God may be wanting to use you.  Maybe He is asking you to take part in a ministry that you have never been a part of, or perhaps He is reinvigorating your commitment to an existing ministry.  For some of us, God may have used the pandemic to show us that our relationship with Jesus Christ is not where it should be.  If that is the case, we at Ruffin Stacey would love to welcome you into our church family and help you to find that relationship.  No matter what is going on in your life, these next few months present us with great opportunity and untapped potential.

It is a blessing to serve with you,

Pastor Lance
