Youth and Children Ministries

Ruffin Stacey offers AWANA Clubs for all age groups (Pre-K to 12th Grade). We meet every Wednesday night from September to May.  Each Wednesday night starts with dinner for everyone at 5:30pm served by our Ruffin Stacey Volunteers. At 6:00pm, the students separate by age group (Puggles, Cubbies, Sparks, T&T, and Trek) and spend the rest of the evening having fun and learning about God. AWANAS is a program designed to help students learn the Bible and remember it for years to come. If you have any questions, please contact Christie Bugner. We hope that you will join us.

Each Sunday morning, our children have the opportunity to learn in a small group outside of the larger worship service. This is voluntary and a decision that is made by each parent. Some of our children choose to stay in the worship service, while others are dismissed following the worship through song. This is designed for children who are too old for the nursery but may have a hard time sitting in a worship service. It is generally for students aged 5-12, but we happily work with parents based on the needs of their children.

For over 14 years, Ruffin Stacey has been working with Child Evangelism Fellowship to provide a "Good News Club" at Lincoln Elementary School. Once a week, volunteers from the church provide after school care and teach students about the love of Jesus. This is a totally voluntary program and we are thankful every year for the students who come and enjoy hearing the Gospel. If you have a child at Lincoln Elementary School and are interested in learning more about the Good News Club, please contact Christie Bugner at the Ruffin Stacey Church office.

Each year in June, Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church hosts a Vacation Bible School.  This is a week filled with fun, learning, the love of Jesus, and memory making. Each year there is a new theme and new ways for children to learn about God. Classes range from Pre-K to 12th grade and it is always a blessing for both the students and the adult leaders who participate. We hope that you will consider joining us next summer.
